About

COVID RESTRICTIONS

Because this performance is taking place outdoors, we will not be requiring vaccinations, but will require masks for all attendees. Please do not attend if you are feeling ill or have tested positive for Covid.

OUTDOOR EVENT INFO

This performance is a Promenade, meaning it travels from one location to another, rather than staying on a stage. Audience members will follow the performers on a journey through farmland and forest. Please note that the entire performance will be outdoors and attendees will need to walk on unpaved paths and some uneven ground, though we do have several routes to accommodate those who cannot manage rough terrain. Please wear closed toe shoes or boots with long pants. We recommend bringing a water bottle, bugspray, and sunscreen. If you would like to join us in foraging for mushrooms, please bring a basket or bag (we will also have some available to borrow).

Due to the recent drought and the comfort of other audience members, we ask that you refrain from smoking or vaping during the performance.

Performances will go forward in the case of light rain and temperatures up to 95 degrees. If storms or other inclement weather are expected and performances must be canceled, registered attendees will be notified via email and a notification will be posted on the website and social media on the day of the event.

ACCESSIBILITY

The performance will split part-way through and allow guests to choose the long path or the short path. The long path will require participants to enter the forest, where they will need to step over and duck under branches and traverse uncleared areas. This path includes two secret scenes, which will be overviewed for those on the short path. The short path remains on mostly ADA accessible routes and allows for a bathroom break and a chance to sit down mid-show. If you are using a mobility device and must stay on ADA accessible routes, you may also skip our scenes in the garden, which are not ADA accessible, but are accessible for most individuals not using a mobility device.

The bathroom for this show is a compost toilet near the beginning of the route. This bathroom requires users to go up several steps, so is not ADA accessible. There is a sink with running water outside the toilets.

ALLERGENS AND ANIMALS

Tryon Life Community Farm is home to a wide array of flaura and fauna which should be considered when planning for this event. These include, but are not limited to: cats, bees and yellowjackets, goats, stinging nettle, blackberries, and pollen. If you are highly allergic to any of these, please take appropriate steps to mitigate a reaction.

There are several cats on the property. While these cats are generally friendly and well behaved, please be aware that not all like to be petted or picked up and we would advise you to leave the cats alone during your visit. These cats may wander into various scenes throughout the production. They are not trained animals, but are curious and some love attention. There are also goats on the property which may or may not be out in the fields during your visit. Many of the goats enjoy some gentle scratches and pats, but please do not feed the goats.

Please do not bring dogs or animals of any kind to this event.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

Public transit can be taken to just outside the farm using the 38 bus and getting off at the SW Boones Ferry Rd & Coronado stop. Bikers please use caution as there is no bike lane on Boones Ferry Rd. and several blind corners.

PARKING

Tryon Life Community Farm has very limited parking, so we are strongly encouraging all attendees to use public transit or carpool. Parking in the surrounding areas is not allowed by the neighborhood council. Parking radius is shown on the events main page.
